Study Budget for ChatGPT

A budget board for international students planning to study in Germany. Open it next to any ChatGPT conversation, move the dials for rent, meals, coffee, insurance, gym, candles, haircuts, travel and flights home, and watch the monthly, yearly and whole-stay totals change. It also shows how much to save before you go, compared with the official blocked-account minimum of €992 a month.

The board speaks the language you write in (22 languages, Chinese in Traditional characters). Prices come from public 2026 sources, last checked 2026-09-29; every figure and its source is listed on our method page.

How to use it

• Open the Budget Board tab beside a conversation, or ask ChatGPT: “Plan my budget for a master’s in Leipzig.”
• Move a dial and the numbers change at once. ChatGPT sees your current board, so you can ask “Where can I cut €100?”
• Nothing you enter is saved by us. Close the tab and the board is gone.
